"You are a wildflower that blooms despite the odds. This is the journey of embracing your wild."

Hi, I am Hira. I am from Pakistan and I’ve been living and making a home for myself and my family here in the heart of Denmark, Copenhagen for the past four years. I am a Product Designer by degree, Brand Designer and Strategist for wild-hearted creatives by profession and an Artist at heart.

I started my own blog, podcast and design studio after years of corporate experience in a hope to redefine success for myself and to live a more meaningful life. I’m a fan of living slowly, intentionally and mindfully on your own terms and in your own way. The way I like to put it, I am on a journey of building a creative work and life practice that works for me, and helping others do the same.

I do this by offering 1:1 branding design, strategy and coaching services for creative business owners. I have niched down on the basis of the style, mood and feelings I evoke in people with my work i.e. dreamy, minimal, moody, natural, organic, earthy, down to earth and sometimes even handmade and vintage with a hint of modernism. The aesthetic appeals to a simple, slow, intentional, and seasonal lifestyle. The aim is to empower wild-hearted creative business owners with self-trust, confidence, purpose-driven and intuitive awareness for their creative work, business and life.

I resonate with the term multi-passionate. To fulfil my desire to create, I design, paint, illustrate, photograph, write, and simply, love making things. As I am a very curious person so, naturally I love to learn new things. But you also cannot be everything, all at once. At some point you need to redefine what you want to be known for and niche down.

For the longest time, I’ve been too scared to niche down because I didn’t want to put myself in a box but through experience I can tell you, this has restricted my growth and kept me away from clarity of thought and direction. Let’s face it, you only have so many hours in the day and so much energy to work on your creative endeavours. If you are spreading your energy across all these different projects all at once you are not really doing justice to any one of them. This not only restricts your growth as a person but also as a business and most importantly, as a creative.

The same logic applies for marketing, when you are trying to appeal to everyone, you are basically appealing to no one. I am sure you’ve heard, ‘Jack of all trades and master of none’. I truly believe we all have something amazing to share with the world. Through my work I intend to make other creatives like myself feel less alone and more hopeful in their journey. My mission is to empower creatives by helping them in finding a home within themselves and in cultivating courage to create and share their work with the world.

Swurl aims to strengthen and give voice to the minorities. It is choosing to fight with the injustices in the world with the most powerful tool of all, equipping people with knowledge and this is why I really believe in the message and mission of Swurl.
